Here...and there!

Well we are ready to head out. We are attempting to get back to Maryland today. While it is still snowing at home, we are told that each of our flights is on time. I'm not looking forward to standing at the metro station in the cold waiting for a train and then getting to Shady Grove only to find and rely on our towncar which is not made for bad roads/weather to get us home. As of now, the roads in our neighborhood have not been plowed. My mom would understand my anxiety in all this - I'm remembering the time I didn't make it home in my car due to snow covered roads and had to walk about a mile and felt like I wasn't going to make it. I can't remember ever being so cold in my life. And, right now I have no winter clothes with me - a spring jacket and crocs are all I have. But, I'm wearing two shirts. Like I say, should be an adventure.

A quick recap of yesterday - it rained hard all day (the system just brought rain to southeastern coastal areas). We went to the fitness center and Craig ran on the treadmill and I did water aerobics. We watched plenty of LOST, cooked a frozen pizza in the villa and then met Joanie's (who lives with us) parents who are now here in MB til Thursday for a wonderful dinner at the Sea Captain's House, a nice restaurant right on the water. Craig and I had crab cakes and she crab soup.

So, I'm ready to disconnect. Wish us luck and say a prayer!
